It is too soon to say whether Vivo plans to launch a brand new X-series or rebrand the X21 UD as the V9+ for the Indian market. Vivo already sells the V9 and V9 Youth smartphones in India, and V9+ could become unique thanks to its in-display fingerprint sensor. It is also unclear if Vivo will launch the standard X21 smartphone with a fingerprint sensor placed at the back.

The display is essentially placed between the glass and OLED panel, while the actuating PCB is placed underneath the OLED display.
