Vivo X21 was launched early this year in two forms, one with a standard fingerprint sensor and another with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker seems to be preparing to add a third variant to the lineup. A new smartphone, dubbed Vivo X21s, has appeared on Weibo, which could either be the successor or just another addition to the series.
The Weibo post has not only revealed the specifications of the upcoming smartphone, but also price of the Vivo X21s. The listing also reveals the release data of this new smartphone. The listing shows that the Vivo X21s will differ from Vivo X21 in areas like display, front camera, and battery capacity. The TENAA listing for the smartphone reveals that the X21s will feature a 6.41-inch OLED display, which will be bigger than the 6.28-inch display seen on the X21.
The display seems to be similar to that on the OnePlus 6T with Full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. We will know what of notch it uses when the device finally goes on sale. The listing also shows that the Vivo X21s will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, which is the same chipset used on the Vivo X21.
The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB expandable storage. It packs a 3,300mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. The imaging department, according to the listing, is handled by a 25-megapixel selfie shooter and a combination of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel shooters on the back.

The Vivo X21s is tipped to run Android 8.1 Oreo layered with company’s FunTouch OS out-of-the-box. It is expected to support dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS with GLONASS. Like the X21 UD, it will have a fingerprint sensor under the display, which could be the sole reason for using an OLED panel. The Weibo post claims that Vivo X21s will be priced at RMB 2,798 (around Rs 29,500) in China, and will become available on November 15.
