As expected, Vivo has launched its Vivo X7 and the Vivo X7 Plus in China today. The smartphones are successors to the Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus, which were launched last year. The main highlight of the Vivo X7 and X7 Plus is the 16-megapixel front facing camera and are aimed at selfie-enthusiasts. The smartphones have been launched for the China market for now. Price: The Vivo X7 is priced at 2498 Yuan (Rs 25,400 approximately) and will be available starting from July 7. The company will announce the price and availability of Vivo X7 Plus on July 15. If launched in India, the Vivo smartphones will face tough competition from the likes of OPPO F1 Plus, Xiaomi Mi5 and OnePlus 3. Vivo X7, X7 Plus specifications, features: The Vivo X7 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display while the Vivo X7 Plus features a larger 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Both smartphones come with 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, both Vivo X7 and X7 Plus are powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. The smartphones are paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that can be further expandable upto 128GB via MicroSD card.
On the camera front, the smartphones come with 16-megapixel front facing cameras. On the back, the Vivo X7 Plus comes with the same 16-megapixel camera whereas the Vivo X7 is limited to a 13-megapixel camera.
The Vivo X7 comes with a 3,000mAh battery that supports fast charging while the Vivo X7 Plus has a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
The smartphones come with a physical home button on the front that also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. On the connectivity front, both the devices support dual-SIM, LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and run Android 5.1 Lollipop with the latest FunTouch UI on top.
