Vivo recently started sending out media invites for a phone launch event scheduled for July 6 in Beijing, and the phones expected to be announced are Vivo X9s and Vivo X9s Plus. Though the teaser for the phones does not reveal any details, the phone listings on TENAA reveal quite a bit about the upcoming smartphones. While the Vivo X9s Plus was listed long back, the smaller Vivo X9s was recently spotted on the benchmarking site. Vivo recently announced its under-display fingerprint sensor, beating Apple and Samsung to the game. As per the TENAA first discovered by Android Headlines, the upcoming Vivo X9s and Vivo X9s Plus will not sport this feature. Instead, they will retain the physical home home with the embedded fingerprint sensor right under the display. The Vivo X9s will come in an all-metal unibody design with the standard bezel sizes. Considering the phone is expected to be more of a budget offering, the side bezels too are not eliminated, though they are slimmed down. The volume rocker as well as the power button are both on the right edge of the smartphone. The left edge is bare. The rear panel has the antenna lines running across parallel to the camera setup. The camera lens rests on the top-left corner along with the flash. Being a budget device, the Vivo X9s lacks the dual-camera setup. The image leak shows the phone in a pale gold shade though there might be other colors introduced during the unveiling on July 6. Vivo has given a few hints with regards to the specifications of the Vivo X9s though nothing exact has been mentioned so far. As revealed by Vivo, the Vivo X9s is expected to come with 1.59mm ultra-narrow bezels. The phone is most likely to come with a 5-inch HD display. The processor details are unknown but it is likely to be an octa-core offering. Internal memory could be 64GB coupled with 4GB RAM. The phone is expected to run FunTouch UI based on Android Nougat OS. The one detail that the TENAA listing reveals is the presence of dual front cameras, with 20-megapixel and 5-megapixel resolution, most likely to be accompanied by flash. The resolution of the rear camera is expected to be 16-megapixel. Vivo X9s will most likely share the camera specifications with the larger Vivo X9s Plus.
As per the TENAA listing, first spotted by GSMArena, Vivo X9s Plus will come with a 5.85-inch FHD display and be powered by an octa-core processor. The internal storage variant will be 64GB accompanied by 4GB RAM. The front and rear camera setup stay the same as the Vivo X9s. The phone is also expected to come with a 3,920mAh battery. However, the leaks are only tentative and do not provide any specific details. The exact details of both, the Vivo X9s and Vivo X9s Plus will be revealed on July 6, post the China launch. The phones are expected to be available in international markets soon after the first unveiling.
