Vivo is all set to launch two new smartphones in China next week, and they are expected to be the X9s and X9s Plus. Vivo will unveil the smartphones on July 6 in Beijing. The smartphones are successors to the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus launched last November, and boasting dual-selfie cameras. There isn t much known about the X9s and the X9s Plus, but the latter was recently spotted on TENAA last month revealing its specifications. Vivo has been sending media invites for the X9s and the X9s Plus launch event on July 6, Playful Droid report. The invite features a model holding the smartphone, either the X9s or the X9s Plus with half of it inside her shirt pocket. The slight glance on the upper half of the smartphone shows the rear camera and the LED flash. The smartphone looks similar to its predecessors, and both devices are expected to be again focused on their selfie prowess. The Vivo X9s Plus was certified by TENAA last month, and the smartphone sports dual-selfie cameras similar to what was seen on its predecessors.
In terms of specifications, the Vivo X9s Plus is said to feature a 5.85-inch full HD OLED display, a 1.95GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage. Coming to its highlight, the Vivo X9s Plus sports a pair of 20-megapixel and 5-megapixel selfie cameras. At the rear, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash. The Vivo X9s Plus is fuelled by a 3,920mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Vivo did not launch the X9 series in India, and it could be possible that the X9s series may not be launched in India either. Prior to the X9s series launch, reports surfaced hinting that Vivo could unveil a smartphone with under-screen fingerprint sensor. MWC Shanghai 2017 expo is scheduled to begin today, and is expected to witness the launch of Vivo s new smartphone.
