Ahead of its expected launch on November 16, leaked images of the speculated Vivo Xplay 6 have been leaked online. The leaked images show the front and back of the purported device with a curved screen display and the Vivo logo sitting in its rear. The rumors about the Vivo Xplay 6 surfaced earlier this week, where it was speculated that along with the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus, the company may also launch another high-end smartphone, featuring top-of-the-line features such as a quad HD display and a mammoth battery, dubbed Vivo Xplay 6. It was also revealed last week, that the Xplay 6 is may be powered by Qualcomm s flagship Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It may also come with 128GB of onboard storage, but there is no word on whether or not there will be a microSD card slot for further expansion. Although the smartphone will run Android-based Funtouch OS 3.0, it is not clear whether it will be the newest Nougat 7.0 version or Marshmallow.
Vivo Xplay 6 specifications
Besides that, based on recent rumors, it is expected to feature a display similar to its predecessor Vivo Xplay 5 offering a quad HD resolution (1440 2560 pixels). The Xplay 5 features a dual-edge curved display, but it is unclear if the Xplay 6 will also sport a similar display. The Vivo Xplay 6 could also bring in major improvements in terms of battery. While the Xplay 5 and Xplay 5 Elite were armed with a 3,600mAh battery, the Xplay 6 could boast a 4,000mAh battery.
Additionally, the Xplay 6, if announced that is, will debut alongside the Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus smartphones. The Vivo X9 could sport Sony IMX260 sensor with dual-pixel technology, same as the one that we ve already seen on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. That said, other rumors also claim that the smartphone could come with a pair of 12-megapixel rear cameras. It is further expected that the Vivo X9 will be powered by Qualcomm s newly announced Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The chipset is said to include support for Clear Sight dual camera technology that will allow the company to use an RGB (color) sensor and a monochrome sensor to capture better photos with less noise.
