Vivo has launched a new smartphone in China, called the Y75. This mid-range device is essentially a toned-down version of the recently launched Vivo V7. The new smartphone is priced at RMB 1,598 (approximately Rs 15,500), and is already on sale in China. Buyers can choose from gold, Matte Black, and Rose Gold color options. Similar to the Vivo V7, the USP of the new Vivo Y75 remains the 18:9 aspect ratio FullVision display. Vivo has also retained facial unlocking feature, it calls Face Wake. As you can imagine, this feature uses your face to unlock the smartphone. The overall functionality is not much unlike what the likes of the Apple iPhone X and OnePlus 5T offer. Vivo Y75 specifications, features
As far as specifications are concerned, the Vivo Y75 flaunts a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440×720 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is an octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. There is 32GB internal memory on offer, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a 13-megapixel snapper at the back accompanied by a LED flash. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel snapper. There’s also a fingerprint sensor placed at the back. Making sure everything ticks is a 3,000mAh battery underneath.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software front, the device runs Android 7.1 Nougat-based FunTouch 3.2 UI.
The Vivo V7 was recently launched in India with a price tag of Rs 18,990. It features a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The rest of the features include a 16-megapixel rear camera, 24-megapixel selfie camera, 3,000mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor. In essence, the only difference between the Vivo V7 and the Vivo Y75 is the resolution of the cameras onboard.
