Vivo has launched a new smartphone in China under the new Z-series, and the first smartphone is called Z1. The smartphone is offered in black, blue, and red color options, and will go on sale starting June 4 in China. It will be priced at RMB 1,798, which roughly corresponds to Rs 19,250. The Vivo Z1 flaunts a 6.26-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. There is a notch on the top, which houses the camera module, earpiece, and sensors. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC that is built on 14nm process. For shutterbugs, Vivo has equipped the smartphone with dual cameras at the back, with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The second camera helps in achieving DSLR-like bokeh effects. Up front is a 12-megapixel camera with AI beauty mode and face unlock feature.
The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back for biometric authentication. Armed with a 3,260mAh battery, the smartphone includes 4G LTE with VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth 5, GPS and Wi-Fi. In the software department, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, with FunTouch OS on top.
