Vivo has launched a new smartphone in China under the new Z-series, and the first smartphone is called Z1. The smartphone is offered in black, blue, and red color options, and will go on sale starting June 4 in China. It will be priced at RMB 1,798, which roughly corresponds to Rs 19,250. However, there is no word on whether or not the smartphone will be launched in India.
Vivo Z1 specifications and features
The Vivo Z1 flaunts a 6.26-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. There is a notch on the top, which houses the camera module, earpiece, and sensors. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC that is built on 14nm process. It is paired with Adreno 512GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage, which is further expandable using a microSD card.

For shutterbugs, Vivo has equipped the smartphone with dual cameras at the back, with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The second camera helps in achieving DSLR-like bokeh effects. Up front is a 12-megapixel camera with AI beauty mode and face unlock feature.
The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back for biometric authentication. Armed with a 3,260mAh battery, the smartphone includes 4G LTE with VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth 5, GPS and Wi-Fi. In the software department, it runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, with FunTouch OS on top.
