Vodafone has launched a new 3G data dongle named the K4201 for Rs 999 for its post-paid customers. The dongle is compatible with Window 8, Mac, Linux, Fedora and Ubuntu, and as per the company’s claims, offers data transfer speed at up to 21.1Mbps, and an uploading speed of 5.76Mbps. It offers up to 32GB of external memory using a microSD card, can receive as well as send SMS from computer, offers phone book functionality and has a data usage limit alert function as well.
Vodafone is also offering cash back schemes which will be valid on 3G plans with rental of Rs 650, Rs 750 and Rs 850. Under this scheme, users will get a discount of Rs 100 on the bill every month for 12 months, which will negate the cost of the dongle in 10 months. Vodafone is also claiming that those who opt for an advance rental plan for six months, will get an additional two months of free usage without paying any rental for those two months.
