In the competitive telecom industry, service providers always need to keep revising their plans in order to stay ahead of the other players in the market. With that in mind, Vodafone has now revised its Rs 458 prepaid plan to offer total data benefits of up to 235.2GB at both 3G/4G speeds. However, the benefits of the revised plan are said to be available only to a few subscribers currently, TelecomTalk reports.
Vodafone’s current Rs 458 plan offers 1.4GB of daily data, and comes with a validity period of 84 days. This means that Vodafone is essentially doubling the data offered for the same period of time, which will be 2.8GB of data for a day. Additionally, the revised plan will also carry its unlimited calling benefits, but will ditch the SMS benefits. As mentioned though, the plan is currently restricted to a few select users.
As of now, the availability of this plan to everyone is not known. Not just that, its benefits and price have also said to vary depending on users. It is being reported that some users will be getting the same 235.2GB data for Rs 398, while others will in fact be getting the 100 SMS benefit of the Rs 458 plan, which is offered with original plan as well. Hopefully, more details will be revealed soon.

The new revised plan competes directly with Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio’s Rs 448 plans. Airtel offers 1.4GB for the day, while the Jio plan comes with 2GB of data for the day. These plans carry a validity of 82 days and 84 days respectively. They also come with unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day benefits. While Vodafone’s plan might offer more data, it should be noted that it is only available for limited users, while its counterparts are open market plans available for all users across all circles.
