After Airtel revamped its Infinity myPlan a day ago, Vodafone has now revised its Rs 399 Red Basic postpaid plan. Compared to 10GB data it offered till now, the Vodafone plan now offers 20GB 3G/4G monthly data. That is in addition to unlimited local and STD calls, national roaming and 100 free SMS. Now, according to a report on TelecomTalk, Vodafone will soon revise the plan to offer unlimited outgoing calls in roaming. We must mention that the “unlimited local and STD calls” in the Rs 399 plan are capped at 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week. Also, being a RED Basic plan, it does not include additional benefits like Magzter Subscription, 12-month Netflix subscription, or access to Red shield device security and Vodafone Play. Do note, some reports online mention the Rs 399 plan as a new plan launched by Vodafone, and are considering the RED Basic plan as a separate entity. However, BGR India confirmed with Vodafone India that the Rs 399 plan has been updated, and no such new plan has been launched. In comparison, Reliance Jio offers 30GB of 4G data at 1GB per day with the Rs 309 postpaid plan. Airtel on the other hand, recently updated its Rs 399 plan to offer 20GB data, up from 10GB data.
In addition to the Rs 399 RED Basic, Vodafone has also updated the Rs 499 plan, which now offers 30GB data, as against the previous offer of 20GB. Vodafone India is also running a limited period offer where both new and existing customers of the Rs 499 plan will get a Rs 100 waiver off their bill for the first six months. Along with that, the Rs 699 RED postpaid plan has also been updated to offer 40GB data, up from previously offered 35GB data.
