One thing that hassles a lot of us shifting or upgrading from one smartphone to another is transferring important data and information as well as the apps effectively without missing or losing any. Working on these lines, Vodafone has launched a Red Box initiative across its Retail of Tomorrow (RoTo) outlets to help its customers as well as any smartphone user who is opting to purchase a new smartphone and is unaware or hesitant of the process of shifting his content on to the new phone, ET reports. The initiative has been started to assist all users, but mainly those with relatively less knowledge about technology or new Internet users who lack idea on even setting up their email accounts on their smartphones. These RoTo stores have trained customer service representatives to help in transferring data including contacts, pictures, video clips, applications, other documents, as well as the data stored in the internal memory from one device to another. Not just this, one can purchase handsets, test apps, learn about tariff and data plans, and other bundled schemes at these retail stores.
The interesting part is that any smartphone user irrespective of their operator or handset brand can visit these stores to get information on their devices and make use of the RedBox service. Vodafone is providing this service for free.
