Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue, introduced Apple Music to the world in super style at WWDC 2015 in San Francisco. From wearing a bright salmon color shirt, un-tucked of course, to bringing in the likes of Drake and Jimmy Iovine, Cue also added a little bit of personal touch by doing a little shimmy on stage. The Apple executive broke into a groove as he played ‘Respect’ by Aretha Franklin. Apple Music is set to take on the likes of Spotify and Pandora. In addition to streaming music, Apple Music also boasts the world s first 24/7 global radio called Beats 1. The radio will include some experienced talents like BBC s Zane Lowe. Along with her, artists like Dr. Dre, Will I Am, Pharrell, and Drake among others will help curate music playlists for listeners.

Apple Music also has a feature called Connect where artists can upload their music, photos, and writeups to connect with their fans. They can also upload studio sessions, lyrics and other behind the scenes clips/pics to the service. Apple Music will be available on iOS and Mac on June 30 and will be launched on Android later this year. The first three months would be free, post which individual users will be charged $9.99 per month while a family of six can get it for $14.99 per month.
