Here’s another example of what smartphone addiction can lead to. As the smartphone culture continues to increase, the hazards of using them while driving have been highlighted many times. However, when one Los Angeles motorcyclist Samuel David Ayres decided to inform a BMW driver on the dangers of texting while driving, he was in for a rather unpleasant response. In a shocking video captured by the motorcyclists GoPro camera, the rider was hit by the guy driving the BMW soon after he gave the ‘unsolicited’ advice. The video shows the motorcyclist stopping at a red light next to the BMW and telling him rather curtly to ‘put down the f***ing phone.’ This wasn’t well received  by the driver, and he started honking at him and began to drive aggressively. He finally knocked Ayres and his bike off and sped away. Also Read - iPhone 13 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21, OnePlus smartphones: Check best bank offers and deals

Ayres said that he suffered from two hairline fractures and a severe concussion. “Aside from a significant amount of bumps and bruises, I suffered a severe concussion (bad enough for me to forget what day, month and year it was and knocking all memory of the past week out of my head), two hairline fractures in my left shoulder and a broken left foot (which would require surgery)”. Ayres claims that the owner of the car has been identified, but the driver is still missing. He has begun a crowdfunding campaign to pay his huge medical bills, and one can donate here.
