Apple rolled out watchOS 4 last month, which brought with it a new layout, and improved heart rate monitoring, among others. Apple has also seeded out watchOS 4.1 beta for developers with the stable version expected to release soon. Reliable developer Guilherme Rambo has now leaked the alleged release notes of watchOS 4.1 golden master, which reveals a few hidden features.
First spotted by MacRumors, the release notes of the watchOS 4.1 mean that the software upgrade is in its final cycle and ready to be commercially rolled out. Through the release notes it was discovered that watchOS 4.1 will bring GymKit support on Apple Watch. Through GymKit Apple Watch users will be able to sync their supported workout machines like treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, and indoor bikes. Syncing machine equipment will help users to keep better track of their workouts.

Another anticipated feature is Apple Music and iCloud Music Library streaming on Apple Watch. According to the release notes, watchOS 4.1 will allow users to stream Apple Music and iCloud Music Library on the Apple Watch’s music app. This feature is however limited to Apple Watch Series 3 only. watchOS 4.1 also brings tons of big fixes with some of them including the issue where heart rate notifications were delivered without the feature being enabled.
