This new feature is likely to be a game changer for people who don t want their friends or family to see images or videos that their contact list has shared with them through WhatsApp. The report also added that it may not work in this version and users will have to wait for the next beta version of the app. Media Visibility is not the only change in the new version as WhatsApp rolled out new contact shortcuts for creating a new group or add a new contact. This new update and features come days after it was revealed that a server-side bug from WhatsApp allowed contacts that you have blocked in past to be able to send you messages, see your display image and status.
