Remember the second app by WhatsApp that the company launched at the beginning of this year? WhatsApp Business. We will pardon you if you don’t recall it because the regular WhatsApp is the primary app that everyone knows and uses. This app was aimed at Small and Medium-sized business owners who can use it to communicate with their customers. The app comes with a number of new features including Business Profiles, messaging tools, messaging stats, Account type, and even a somewhat similar web-based interface allowing business owners to interact with their customers.

The game changer in this version of the app is that business doesn’t really need to have a dedicated mobile number for the WhatsApp number. Instead, business owners can make use of their existing wired landline connections to connect with their customers. However, if you recall the app and details, you would also know a key issue with the app at launch. The issue that I am talking about here is the fact that the app only launched on Android. However, it looks like the Android exclusivity is a thing of past as reports have emerged on the internet indicating that the company is likely to launch the iOS version of WhatsApp Business “soon”.

This new app is likely to resolve the long-standing complaint by business owners who own an iOS-powered device. This information was revealed by popular leaker for all things WhatsApp, WABetaInfo. The information also revealed that the upcoming app by WhatsApp will run on devices running iOS 8 or newer versions of the operating system.

This information comes right after the company announced the rollout of its new feature, Stickers on WhatsApp across multiple platforms.
