A new feature in WhatsApp will let you chat with a contact without actually opening the app. The feature uses a URL-based system to open a specific chat using a phone number, and links to WhatsApp through the existing WhatsApp Web protocols. Man carrying 100 Apple iPhone X devices arrested at Delhi Airport

In a bizarre case of smartphone smuggling, a man has been caught and arrested by Indian customs for carrying 100 Apple iPhone X devices at Delhi Airport. The 53-year-old man was arrested upon arrival from Dubai and had far too many smartphones with him, suggesting that he was smuggling the devices for sale in India from Dubai, where the iPhone X sells at a much lower price than in India.

Android P will finally restrict apps from monitoring your network activity

A new report suggests that certain messages on WhatsApp could cause the app or even your smartphone to crash. The messages have certain invisible characters that can change text behavior and many of these characters in a message could cause a crash. Messages with a ‘black dot’ cause a crash upon the user touching the black dot, according to the report.

Walmart plans $2-3 billion equity infusion for Flipkart

Reports suggest that a deal for the acquisition of Flipkart by a group of investors led by Walmart is nearly final, and Walmart may be looking to infuse $2-3 billion in additional equity to strengthen its control over the e-commerce company going forward. Walmart and Google parent Alphabet are involved in the acquisition, which will see the Flipkart’s operational control pass to Walmart.

Oppo announces a new variant: Oppo F7 Diamond Black Cricket Limited Edition

The Oppo F7 comes in multiple colors and variants already, but the company has announced a new variant now. Priced at Rs 21,990 the Oppo F7 Diamond Black Cricket Limited Edition will come with the autographs of Oppo’s cricketer brand ambassadors, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and R Ashwin.

Xiaomi Redmi S2 spotted online with full specifications revealed

The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi S2 global variant has been listed on AliExpress ahead of its May 10 launch, along with its full specifications. The affordable device is expected to come with a 6-inch HD+ 18:9 screen and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC under the hood, along with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
