WhatsApp is now out with a new update that will make the lives of quite a few people easier. The new update from WhatsApp brings the Mute shortcut to the notification bar. The new WhatsApp 2.18.216 update brings the Mute shortcut for all users and according to the devs if a user can t find the option then the best way to do it would be to backup the chat history and reinstall WhatsApp. And by all users WhatsApp means all users who are on the Beta program. All beta users can swiftly mute a chat from the notification center itself when prompted there with the option to mute. But there is a little catch in the Mute option, and that is that the option will be made available once the notification count reaches 51 or more messages.
The next update of the WhatsApp numbered at 2.18.218 features a preview of the Stickers that will be made available in the future.
This update mentions that when the WhatsApp Sticker Store has a new updated sticker pack, there will be a green dot on the + button. An update button has also been added.
The Mark as Read feature which we heard about a little while back is yet to be added to the notification center. WhatsApp devs say that they are working on optimizing this feature and will be added once all the chinks are worked out.
