WhatsApp for iOS has received an update that brings in a bunch of new features like the ability to pinch to zoom in videos, and sharing content from third-party apps among others. WhatsApp’s iOS app has been updated to version 2.12.14, which is a 72.5MB download and requires iOS 6.0 and above. You can head over to the App Store to download the latest update. One of the highlights of the update is the ability to share photos and videos with your friends from third-party apps.
Post the update, when you open the photo or video library, you will see a new option — ‘Choose from another app’. You will be able to share stuff from apps like OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox among others. Other new features include the ability to zoom into videos while they are playing, and also a tweaked design to browse photos and videos.
WhatsApp for Android is also in line to get an update with a new sharing feature. WhatsApp beta version 2.12.493 is available for the company’s beta testers, and it will let users share documents with their friends. Once updated, clicking on the attachment button will show you options like Document, Camera, Gallery, Audio, Location and Contact.
