Popular messaging service WhatsApp suffered a downtime today, but services were restored in about 40 minutes. The problem was similar to what happened back in February, when the messaging app kept trying to connect to the servers. At the time of filing the story, the company has yet to acknowledge the outage.
Earlier this year, WhatsApp’s services had similarly gone down and it took the company more than four hours to restore the services. Today, the messaging app achieved a new daily message record by handling 64 billion messages in 24 hours.
