Clerics at the Dargah Aala Hazrat have passed a religious decision against the augmented reality app. They believe that the increasing addiction to the game is not only life threatening, but may also be ‘un-islamic’, considering the demonic characters (the Pok mons) that are part of the game. Additionally, various religious spots being Pok stops, the clerics are concerned that there are chances of a distracted player entering a religious shrine while prayers are going on, which may lead to law and order problems.
