While a major chunk of the WWDC 2017 has been a mixed bag, Apple’s AR Kit finally brought forth some cheer from the crowd. In line with the company’s well-detailed interest in the augmented reality technology, the AR Kit is poised to be the next big-thing for developers looking at building AR-related products. The Apple AR Kit enables developers to bring to life augmented reality products such as games, experiences, and other such content. With the AR Kit, developers can build apps such as Pokemon Go, albeit with a much more enhanced output. At the demo, Apple executives showcased what is possible with the AR Kit; an empty table immediately transformed into an uber cool battleground with just a few taps. The new Apple AR Kit will be available later this year.
In addition to the Apple AR Kit, the company introduced a range of hardware and software upgrades.
