Lately Xiaomi has been on a spree of adding new products to its vast ecosystem. After the Mi Router 4, and Roidmi Car Air Purifier, today another Xiaomi-backed company has launched a product. The Chinese company has today unveiled the Yueli Hot Steam Hair Straightener under its crowdfunding platform. This new product is manufactured by Xiaomi-backed Ningbo Yue Li Electric Co., Ltd. It is priced at RMB 199 (Rs 2,100 approximately), and is available via online channels in China, Gizmochina reports.
The Yueli Hot Steam Hair Straightener features a sleek design with dimensions of 296x33x40mm. The overall look is pretty much what you expect from standard hair straighteners, and it features a matte finishing that makes it non-slippery. The body is also resistant to scratches, and high temperatures.
The heating surface is covered in nano-anion coating, and it supports up to five temperature levels from 150 degrees to 230 degrees. There is also a smart power-off system, wherein the straightener will shutdown if not used for 15 minutes.

The company says that the straightener uses a nano-level steam water ion helium penetration technology. What this tech essentially does is straightens the hair, but also at the same time hydrates the strands. There is also a slot on the straightener to add keratin, which will then coat the hair strands. This tech and the addition of keratin means that hairs won’t be damaged during the straightening process.
