Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 has not been averse to the rumor mills. The upcoming gaming smartphone is expected to launch tomorrow in China, and the leaks just keep on coming.
The latest leaks include a couple of teaser posters on Weibo (spotted by IThome) that confirm a couple of features. One of the teasers confirm that the Black Shark 2 will boast some kind of liquid cooling technology. It comes as no surprise that Xiaomi is adopting this tech, since gaming smartphones do tend to heat up quite a bit. The tech could be similar to what we saw under the hood of the Poco F1 smartphone.
The other teaser poster depicts a radar of sorts. Reports claim this could be a hint towards better signal reception on the device. With most of the popular games needing constant internet connection, this teaser should come as welcome news for potential buyers.
A separate leak on Twitter makes an interesting claim. A leakster online claims that Xiaomi could be choosing a new naming scheme for its upcoming smartphone. Instead of Black Shark 2, the upcoming device could be called ‘Black Shark Helo’. There is currently no word on the reasons or idea behind this naming scheme. It could be a case where the device is called Black Shark 2 in China, but Black Shark Helo in other countries.
Recently, we have come across leaked images and hands-on photos of the Black Shark 2. They all hint at a design language that is not too different from the original Black Shark. One of the standout design features will no doubt be the lit logo at the back. This logo will feature RGB colors, and users will be able to customize the color as per their liking.
