Two years ago, Xiaomi launched its first Bluetooth headset, which was priced at RMB 149 (approximately Rs 1,500). Now the company is launching a successor to it, called the Xiaomi Bluetooth Headset Youth Edition in China, which it is pricing at just RMB 99 (approximately Rs 1,000). Like its predecessor, the headset features a lightweight design and comes with IPX4 waterproof rating.
The headset looks pretty similar to the previous model launched by Xiaomi. According to Gizchina, it comes with the same earbuds that feature a 58-degree micro-tilt anti-shedding design, which is said to better fit the contour of the ear. This prevents them from falling off, while undertaking heavy physical activity. Additionally, the IPX4 waterproof rating means that the earbuds are protected from sweat and rain, making the it ideal for outdoors as well. The earbuds also come with 5 pairs of silicon eartips that help user find the perfect fit for their ear.
Xiaomi has equipped the headset with 10mm drivers that the company claims can deliver clean and clear audio output. They are also said to optimize low and medium quality content in order to make it sound good. Beyond that, the PET diaphragm can reduce the vibration and distortion on the earbuds in order to provide a seamless music listening experience.
