Xiaomi for the first time sold both, the Redmi Note 4G and the Redmi 1S, on the same day in this week’s flash sale on Flipkart. Now, the company has announced that even next week it will continue to sell both the devices in a similar manner. The Redmi Note 4G will go on sale at 2:00PM, while the Redmi 1S will go on sale at 5:00PM on January 13. Registrations for both the sales are mandatory, and the window to register is now open. This week’s sale saw 50,000 units of the Redmi Note 4G go out of stock in five seconds. While nearly 40,000 units of the Redmi 1S were initially scheduled to go on sale, it was last minute cut down to only 20,000 due to logistics delay, and they went out of stock in flat four seconds. Flipkart suggests all registered users to be online two to three hours before the sale on January 13, to up their chances to grab the device. This week’s sale also saw Xiaomi hitting a record of 500,000 registrations for both the sales. The decision to sell two handsets on the same day came as a celebratory feat for Xiaomi, who recently announced it sold 1 million smartphones in India in five months. However, the company has now decided to continue the trend.
The company has seen many ups and downs in this short span, with the High Court issuing a ban on its handsets sale earlier this month. Later, the ban was partially lifted, allowing Xiaomi to restore its flash sales for devices running on Qualcomm s chipsets.
