Treadmills are usually bulky and cannot be easily moved to different places, but Xiaomi has decided to correct this situation by releasing its own Smart Foldable Treadmill in China to carry it anywhere and be easily moved due to its compact weight and size. The WalkingPad Mini Walk Smart Treadmill does have a dashboard and handlebar. With many customized touch screen control to change the speed of the simulator, and also provides information about the achieved speed and distance traveled.
The Smart Foldable Treadmill is the successor to Xiaomi’s WalkingPad Mini Smart Treadmill which was also crowdfunded and launched earlier this year on May 2018 in China, the treadmill featured a miniature LED display, which provided information about distance traveled and the achieved speed. Although it didn’t have any dashboard, handlebar, and built-in Control system and was only used through the smartphone Mi Home application or provided Remote Control.
The new Smart Foldable Treadmill, however, is designed and manufactured by Kingsmith Xiaojin Private LTD and supported by Xiaomi through its Kickstarter campaigns. The gadget can have a maximum load of around 110kgs and comes with an elastic running surface board to provide real road running like experience. The speed range of the Xiaomi Smart Foldable Treadmill varies between 0.8 to 15 kilometers per hour. The weight of the treadmill is 54 kg, and dimensions at – 1200 x 480 mm. The Smart Foldable Treadmill syncs with the Mi Home app. The device integrates into the “Mi smart home” ecosystem and can simultaneously display the result on the Xiaomi smartphone/TV during a workout. After which, the Smart Foldable Treadmill can be folded in half and placed anywhere. When folded, its size reduces to 310-mm in thickness. There are special wheels on the lower case of the treadmill for convenient movements. The Xiaomi Smart Foldable Treadmill is priced at RMB 1,899 (around Rs 19,300 ), shipments will start from December 25, 2018.
