Xiaomi is holding a grand global Mi phone event in Delhi today where it is scheduled to launch the Mi 4i. The event will begin at 4.00PM and will be attended by Xiaomi CEO and founder, Lei Jun; president and co-founder Bin Lin; and VP international, Hugo Barra. The co-founders are already in India and were seen roaming the streets of Mumbai in an auto rickshaw yesterday. Pictures of them at Horniman Circle at Fort were also shared by the company on social media.

In the run up to today’s event, the Xiaomi Mi 4i has been leaked on various occasions. It is expected to don an ultra-slim bezel design and from what we ve heard so far, the Mi 4i will feature a 4.9-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display. It is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Additionally, it is also expected to feature 16GB of internal storage.
On the photography front, the Mi 4i may flaunt a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, it will run on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box with MIUI 6 running on top.
Over the weekend, the company released a hoard of teasers as well. Through its teasers, Xiaomi has hinted that the next smartphone will don a high resolution display, have great battery life without users having to compromise on the size of the phone.
