Chinese smartphone maker and electronics giant Xiaomi seems to be rolling out a new version of its latest in-house Android-based operating system, MIUI 10 to its Redmi Note 5 Pro users. The company had already rolled out the stable version of MIUI 10 to the device users back out a month back. This new version of MIUI 10 for Redmi Note 5 Pro users was spotted on MIUI forums with software version number V10.0.2.0.OEIMIFH. If users have already updated to the first MIUI 10 update then the size of this incremental update is 152 MB but the size of the full update is about 597 MB.
The changelog of the new update includes to bug fixes indicating that this is a relatively smaller release. According to the changelog, Xiaomi has fixed a bug where opening the camera would reboot the device and fixing the issue where “unimportant notifications” showed up after the user double tap on the lock screen, status bar or notification bar.

Taking a closer look at the update, there are not many changes on the surface as the UI and even the Android Security Patch level was the same. Digging a bit deeper revealed that this update also comes with FHD video recording at 60FPS.
According to a post on the MIUI forum, a user by the handle “yougi802” also indicated that the latest update has improved the speed of the face unlock, the speed of fingerprint scanner along with improved RAM management.
This new update comes right around the time when a launch invite leaked on the internet indicating the launch date of Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro in the Indian market. As previously reported, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will launch on November 1.
