It’s that time of the year, when the Chinese are gearing up for the Singles’ Day sale which is scheduled for November 11. In the run up to the online sale, Xiaomi has launched two new products – 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank, and a new Mi Power Strip.
Xiaomi’s Mi Power Bank lineup includes 16,000mAh, 10,400mAh, 10,000mAh and 5,000mAh variants. Adding to this lineup, Xiaomi has launched a 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank, priced at 149 Yuan (Rs 1,540 approximately).
Unlike the other power banks in the company’s lineup, the 20,000mAh variant boasts an ABS plastic body. As per the company, this offers better grip and also prevents scratches. This is also useful in keeping the weight down, and this new power bank weighs at 338 grams, which is less than the 16,000mAh variant (350 grams).
It features two standard USB ports, micro-USB port, and LED lights to show the battery level. Under the hood, the power bank features charging/discharging chips and nine layers of circuit protection, built by Texas Instruments. With a maximum output of 5.1V/3.6 A, the company says it can charge a Mi 4 4.5 times, an iPhone 6 seven times, an iPad mini three times, and even a MacBook 1.2 times. It also supports fast charging, which the company says will help in charging the power bank up to 11,000mAh in only three hours.
As mentioned above, Xiaomi has also launched a new Mi Power Strip. Xiaomi had launched the first Mi Power Strip back in March, but instead of three power sockets and three USB ports, the new Mi Power Strip has five power sockets. Besides this change, the new Power Strip is similar to its predecessor. It is priced at 39 Yuan, which roughly translates to Rs 400.
Both the new products will go on sale in China via mi.com on November 11. There is however no word on when Xiaomi plans on launching them in other markets.
