Xiaomi has introduced an all-new Mi TV from its smart television portfolio. Adding to the Mi TV 4 lineup, the Mi TV 4S is a 55-inch smart TV panel that comes with AI voice assistant and boasts metal frame design as one of its key features. The Mi TV 4S is currently available in China, however, given the company’s recent interest of expanding product portfolio in India, we might soon see it debuting here as well.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4S is priced at CNY 2,999, which translates to Rs 31,000. It is available for pre-registration in China and will start shipping from April 3, 2018. If launched in India around the same pricing, the Mi TV 4S will sit between the Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A, both of which are currently available for purchase in the country. Here’s a look at the specifications and features of the Mi TV 4S.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4S specifications
The Mi TV 4S boasts a premium metal frame design. It weighs 13.5kg including the base. There’s a 55-inch IPS LCD panel with 4K resolution that supports HDR content playback. The panel comes with direct backlighting, 60Hz refresh rate, and 8ms response time.
The smart TV is powered by quad-core Amlogic processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The smart TV comes with standard 8-watt stereo speakers with support for DTS and Dolby Audio.
It is an upgrade over the Mi TV 4 and comes with an AI voice assistant support, and additional ports for peripherals or accessories. There’s one ethernet port, two USB ports, and one S-PDIF port, in addition to three HDMI ports. The smart TV supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
