Xiaomi has launched two new products for users along with the much-anticipated Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite at its global launch event in Spain on July 24, 2018. The company also launched aMi Electric Toothbrush and two variants of the Mi Robot Builder where the first one is a robot with a self-balancing system and the second one is a rover.

The company did not reveal exact details about the availability of both the products but it did real the pricing of both the Mi Robot Builder as well as the Mi Electric Toothbrush. Both variants of the Robot Builder are priced at 79.99 Euros which is approximately Rs 6,450, and the Toothbrush is priced at 29.99 Euros which is approximately Rs 2,418. Talking about the Robot Builder, it is a toy with 978 parts which can be controlled with a smartphone. The primary goal of this robot is to help kids learn about computer programming with the help of “modular graphics”.

The robot can be assembled into different structures to keep things interesting. The top comes with a Cortex Mx 32-bit processor, a “proprietary operating system” along with something that is known as the multiprocessor control framework architecture. It also comes with an in-built photoelectric encode, and two high-speed brushless motors. Xiaomi has also added four USB Type-C ports to charge the different components of the robot. The self-balancing system and pendulum algorithm help the robot keep itself upright while moving forward with “up to 3kg” of weight.

To bring the robot to life, users need to code a program with the Mi Robot Builder app so that it can perform functions that one would want. All this is done without writing a single line of code and by simple drag and drop of the complex command code. Moving on to the Electric Toothbrush, it uses a “high-efficiency magnetic levitation sonic motor”. The toothbrush is made of high-density anti-corrosion, metal-free brush head. The toothbrush vibrates “over 31,000 times per minute” to clean your teeth.

Users can change between different modes while using the toothbrush to suit their needs and it also comes with a dedicated app for customized brushing where users can change the brush time, strength, and variety of “oral care functions”.
