Xiaomi has launched a new set of products as part of its non-smartphone range, popularly referred to as its ecosystem products. The latest products launched by the Chinese company are the Mi Mini Scooter and Mi Home Mosquito Repellent (second generation), and go on sale only in China for now. Both products are available online and offline through Xiaomi‘s network in its home market. As is usually the case, there’s no word on when or even if these products will launch in India. Xiaomi may soon bring some of its ecosystem products to India, after it opened its first experience stores in India earlier this year. These stores are full-fledged Mi Home stores that sell Xiaomi smartphones and accessories, along with showcasing some of the non-smartphone products that the company has to offer without actually selling these.

The first product is the Mi Mini Scooter, which is a compact three-wheeled scooter meant for kids. It isn’t electric and would need the user to push it along using their feet, but it does come with impressive design aspects that help kids to use it conveniently and safely. There are also lights on the scooter, which are self powered using energy generated by the scooter itself during use. The scooter is priced at RMB 249 (approximately Rs 2,600).
The other product launched is the second generation Home Mosquito Repellent. Priced at RMB 59 (approximately Rs 620), the product uses mosquito repellent tablets to disperse vapors into the air that are harmless to humans, but effectively keep mosquitos out. It’s a lot like an electric mosquito repellent machine sold in India, but is a bit bigger and supposedly more effective as well.
