Xiaomi has continued to expand its presence in the home products range with a slew of new products. The company today launched not just one but a total of six new products. All these products have been launched under Xiaomi s crowdfunded platform Mijia in China. These products include Mi Walkie-Talkie, Mi Driving Recorder, Mi Smart Camera, Mi Smart Scale 2, Mi Router HD and Mi Router Pro. To begin with, the Mi Walkie Talkie comes with Ultra High frequency (UHF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) bands, which make it usable in the city and in an open field as well. The Mi Walkie Talkie features a black and white LCD screen with 160×100 pixels. The device comes with support for location sharing, FM Radio and a USB port for connectivity. The Mi Walkie Talkie is powered by a 2,600mAh battery offering a standby time of up to eight days. Xiaomi has priced this device at 249 CNY (Rs 2,500 approximately), and is available in color options of white and blue.
The Mi Driving Recorder looks very similar to a GoPro camera in terms of design. The Mi Driving Recorder sports a Sony IMX323 image sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 160-degree wide-angle lens. The device also features Mstar 1080p chipset which makes it capable of recording clearly at night. The Mi Driving Recorder is priced at 349 CNY (Rs 3,400 approximately). The Mi Smart Camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at a maximum frame rate of 20fps and is equipped with 130-ultra wide angle lens. The Mi Smart Camera comes with support for dual-band Wi-Fi, a microSD slot and has 10 meters of infrared night vision range. This device can also be used to monitor children or pets as it comes with a two-way communication. It is priced at 199 CNY which rounds off to Rs 2,000 approximately. Tapping into the fitness segment, Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Smart Scale 2 which will tell you much more than just your weight. The Mi Smart Scale 2 is 14.56mm slim and is made of ABS material, which is supposed to give it more durability and good impact resistance. It comes with an LED numerical display and can analyze 10 types of physical data. These include weight, BMI, muscle mass, basal metabolism, visceral fat grade, bone mass, water, body fat rate, body size, and body score. Xiaomi has infused Stainless Steel 303L electrode pad in the Mi Smart Scale 2 for giving more accurate information. It is priced at 199 CNY (Rs 2,000 approximately). Xiaomi had unveiled the Mi Router HD at this year s CES event. The Mi Router HD has now gone on sale in China along with the Mi Router Pro. The Mi Router HD and Mi Router Pro come with 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The Mi Router HD is powered by a Qualcomm IPQ8064 network processor. The Mi Router Pro on the other hand runs a MediaTek MT7621A network processor. Both the routers come with 512MB of DDR3 RAM and 256M SLC Nand Flash. The routers are equipped with 4 omni-directional antennas and MU-MIMO technology. The routers have a USB 3.0 interface, LAN port and WAN port. The Mi Router HD and Mi Router Pro are priced at 1,299 CNY (Rs 12,600 approximately) and 499 CNY (Rs 4,900 approximately) respectively.
