Xiaomi is marking its fifth anniversary by holding an event in China, and the company is launching a slew of products to celebrate the occasion. One of them was the new 55-inch Mi TV 2 that is priced at RMB 4,999 (approximately Rs 50,000).
This comes just a week after the company launched the 40-inch Mi TV 2 in China. Specification wise the bigger Mi TV2 is slimmer than its 49-inch predecessor, and comes with a 15.2mm ultra-thin frame and 6mm bezel. It is equipped with a Samsung HD 4K (3840×2160) panel, MStar 6A928 processor paired with 2GB RAM, with re-designed Bluetooth subwoofer and soundbar. The detailed specs are below:
Xiaomi is currently selling the 49-inch Mi TV 2 for Rs 40,000 and is hell bent on offering fully loaded TV sets at a low prices. The 40-inch variant costs Rs 20,000.
There is no word on the availability of the TV outside the Chinese markets. The company has also launched the Redmi 2A, Mi Smart Power Strip, Mi Smart Scale and a new Mi Note fashion edition targeted at women at its event today.
