Soon after launching the Mi 5, Xiaomi seems to be gearing up for yet another launch. This time the company is expected to launch a large screen smartphone, called the Xiaomi Max. The company conducted an online poll on China’s social networking site Weibo to decide upon the name of its upcoming device. Out of the four options the company had provided-Xiaomi Pro, Xiaomi Plus, Xiaomi Max and Xiaomi Big, “Xiaomi Max,” received maximum number of votes. If launched, the Xiaomi Max will have a bigger display than the Mi Note phablet, which has 5. 9-inch display. The Mi Note was launched last year.
While the company hasn’t revealed much about the specifications of the new big screen phablet, some of the reports hint that it could come with 6 . 4-inch display with 2K resolution. Other expected features of the phablet include Snapdragon 820 processor and a fingerprint scanner. Well, these are just rumors and we expect Xiaomi to reveal more features in the near future.
Xiaomi have set up an official account for ‘Xiaomi Max’ on Weibo, which hints that the company will reveal more details about the phablet in the coming weeks.
Xiaomi recently launched Mi5 and Redmi Note 3 in India. Both the smartphones are enjoying equal share in the market and are available on every Wednesday via a flash sale model on company’s official website.
