As for the pricing, Xiaomi is already selling the device in China, so we can expect Mi 10 price in India to be closer to that. Just yesterday, Jain explained that the Mi 10 will be launched with a different pricing model. The reason behind this being that Mi 10 will be imported as a completely built unit. This will incur additional import tax in addition to goods and services tax. Xiaomi will also have to factor the depreciating Indian rupee. The import duty of 22 percent and GST at 18 percent will make Mi 10 one expensive smartphone. We expect Xiaomi Mi 10 to be priced around Rs 56,000 when it become official in India later this month. We will have more clarity on price once the global variant debuts on March 27. At that price, Xiaomi will have one competitive flagship, which is precisely what it needs in the Indian market now.
