Xiaomi is set to launch its new flagship Mi 4 on July 22 in Shanghai, on the same day the Mi 3 will go on sale in India. While we are a few days away from the launch, the flagship device has been listed on an online retail store, complete with a price tag and full set of specifications.
According to the listing, the Xiaomi Mi 4 flaunts a 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) and is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is also said to feature a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 5-megapixel front snapper, 32GB of internal storage and a 3,200mAh battery. On the software front, it is said to run on Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped under the company’s MIUI V5.
The form factor of the device on the retailer’s site is consistent with what leaked earlier this month. The flagship device is set to feature a metallic body. The retailer reveals that the Mi 4 is priced at $599.99 or Rs 36,000 approximately, but it is currently out of stock. It further mentions that the device will soon be available in countries like Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Vietnam, Turkey, Thailand, and India.
With the launch less than a week away, it is not surprising to see the specifications and features leak, but nonetheless we would advise you to take it with the proverbial pinch of salt.
