Much like other handsets from the company, the Mi 4 handset will be sold through Flipkart via flash sales. If you would like to purchase one (or more), you will have to first register for the flash sale on Flipkart. The registration won t guarantee you a handset but will give you a chance to participate and grab the device on February 10. The company is reportedly bringing 25,000 to 30,000 units for the first flash sale. Xiaomi noted that it will also put replacement rear shells for the Mi 4 handset up for grabs on February 10.
As for the specifications, the Mi 4 flaunts a 5-inch full HD 1080p display with a pixel density of 441ppi. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Other features of the handset include 16GB non-expandable internal storage. It comes with 13-megapixel rear camera featuring LED flash with 1.12 m pixel size, and support for 4K video recording at 40 frames per second. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera.
The smartphone also includes a 3,080mAh battery that the company claims can survive for a day and half on normal usage. On the connectivity front, the Mi 4 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and on the software front it runs on Android 4.4.3 KitKat wrapped under Xiaomi s MIUI 6.0.
The handset, however, only comes with one color option, and 16GB storage option. There s also no LTE support, which is quite disappointing.
