Xiaomi is all set to conduct yet another flash sale of the Mi 4i in India. This time Xiaomi has made available the white and grey variant up for grab. Along with the Mi 4i, Xiaomi will also put on sale the 5000mAh Mi power bank. The sale will begin at 2PM today on company’s website. Previously, Xiaomi has conducted a sale for Mi 4i dark grey variant on its company website. The company has not yet revealed the number of units it will put on sale today. Customer who cannot buy the Mi 4i today will have another change and can grab the unit on July 2 via Flipkart. Earlier today Xiaomi has also announced a price drop for the Redmi Note 4G. The phone which costed Rs 9,999 is now available online for Rs 7,999.
The smartphone is priced at Rs 12,999, and has similar specs as its white. The Mi 4i dark grey variant marks the beginning of smartphone sales on mi.com/in. Up until now, Xiaomi only sold accessories like the Mi Band and the power bank on its website, and conducted smartphone flash sales on Flipkart.
The Mi 4i flaunts a 5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) IPS OGS display with a density of 441ppi. Under the hood is a second-generation 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core (1.1GHz quad-core + 1.7GHz quad-core) 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal memory. On the photography front, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone also features a 3,120mAh battery and connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots with both supporting LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. On the software front, the Mi 4i is the first Xiaomi smartphone to run on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 6.
Recently, the Mi 4i had courted quite a bit of controversy due to overheating issues. However, the company managed to rectify that with a software update last month.
