Xiaomi is all set to unveil the much-anticipated flagship Mi 5 smartphone at events in China and MWC in Barcelona on February 24. In the run up to the launch, we have come across many leaks, as well as teasers from Xiaomi executives, which give us a fair idea on what to expect from the upcoming smartphone. Now however, alleged presentation slides for the launch event have leaked, which reveal almost everything there is to know about the Xiaomi Mi 5. These presentation slides seem to be have been made for the February 24 event in Beijing. Apart from a couple of Mi 5 renders, these slides actually take you through the smartphone’s feature one by one, TechNews reports. The biggest news is the presence of a 26-megapixel camera with a f/1.6 aperture, which would suggest better low light performance than other camera phones. It also comes with PDAF support for faster auto focus as well as dual-LED flash light. We have already come across camera samples shared by Xiaomi’s executives, and the photos look impressive. Xiaomi Mi 5 specifications and features: The upcoming smartphone is said to feature dimensions of 144.3×70.2×6.35mm, and most of the mentioned features are in line with what we have come across so far. As per the slides, Xiaomi seems to be planning on launching two variants at the event, and both will feature a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display and 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU. They will however differ on the basis of memory — 32GB variant with 3GB of RAM, and 64GB variant with 4GB of RAM. While the slides don’t mention them, as per earlier leaks, the Mi 5 is also said to feature a 3,600mAh battery, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button up front. Xiaomi is also said to be planning on launching multiple variants of the Mi 5, including a Windows 10 variant, and a 5.7-inch Mi 5 Plus phablet.
After such extensive leaks, the only thing left to know is the price and the availability details. We are also looking forward to hearing Xiaomi’s plans of launching the Mi 5 in India.
