Xiaomi Mi 5 specifications and features: Besides the rumored screen size and resolution, the Mi 5 has been confirmed to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with Adreno 530 GPU. The glass version is likely to sport 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage, whereas the metal version could pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. However, there is no word on whether or not it will sport a microSD card slot.
On the photography front, the Mi 5 could come with a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 13-megapixel selfie module. With 3,600mAh battery, Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 feature is also likely to be in tow. The smartphone is also expected to boast connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ad, Bluetooth, GPS and an NFC chip. In terms of software, it could run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7.
The Mi 5 will also sport a physical home button with the smallest and fastest fingerprint scanner embedded within. As confirmed earlier by Xiaomi’s co-founder Liwan Jiang, the Mi 5 will go on sale after the Chinese Spring Festival, which falls on February 8.
