In tune with rumors, Xiaomi is set to unveil its next flagship smartphone in India. The company has started sending out media invites for the launch of a ‘Flagship Dual Camera device’ on September 5. Although Xiaomi does not explicitly mention which model it will exactly unveil, all hints point to the launch of Mi 5X. The smartphone was launched in China in the month of July and in all likelihood, will make is debut in the Indian market soon. If the company is indeed launching the Xiaomi Mi 5X, then it will add to the growing list of smartphones with dual-camera modules. The smartphone carries a price tag of RMB 1,499, which is approximately Rs 15,000, and available in color choices of rose gold, gold, and black. While there is also a 4GB+32GB model available for the Mi 5X, it is unclear if the low storage model will be made available in India as well.
Coming to the USP of the smartphone, there is a pair of 12-megapixel sensors at the back. One of the two is a primary lens while the other is a telephoto lens. The dual-camera setup enables you to capture photos with DSLR-like Bokeh effect. The cameras are accompanied with a dual-LED flash. As for selfies and video-calling, there is a 5-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi.
