Xiaomi‘s upcoming Mi 6X is certainly not new to the rumor mill. Recently few hands-on photos of the smartphone surfaced online all but confirming the presence of dual cameras. First spotted by Slashleaks on Weibo, the photo shows a cutout for the vertically aligned dual camera setup placed at the top-left corner. Further, there is also a cutout for the fingerprint scanner just below the vertical cameras. The previous leak suggested that the dual rear camera lens will be separated by LED flash like Apple iPhone X. The image further hints that the Mi 6X might come with a metallic unibody. From we know so far, the smartphone might be powered by company s own Surge S2 chipset. The Surge S2, as the name suggests, is the second-generation octa-core chipset. The Surge S2 SoC uses Mali-G71 MP8 as the companion graphics processor.
Apart from that, the smartphone is expected to feature 5.7-inch or 5.9-inch display that will support Full HD+ resolution. While the company is yet to confirm anything, the Mi 6X is expected to launch as rebranded Mi A2. Xiaomi is likely to showcase Mi 6X at MWC 2018 later this month.
Meanwhile, the company has announced that it is all set to launch its first device of 2018 on February 14 in India. The company has sent out media invites for the event, which mentions the number ‘5’. According to reports, Xiaomi will bring the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus to India.
