Xiaomi Mi 6X, the next mid-range smartphone from the Chinese company, will be officially launched tomorrow. The Mi 6X will be the successor to last year’s Mi 5X and is expected to be rebranded as Mi A2 in select markets with Android One branding. Considering the fact the Mi A2 will be just the second Android One device from Xiaomi, there is a lot of excitement around the smartphone.
Ahead of its official launch tomorrow, there have been a number of leaks about the smartphone. We have seen renders and leaked manual detailing the specifications and features of the smartphone. Now, the Mi 6X has leaked in the form of real-life photos along with a hands-on video. It reveals what the device will actually look like and how it will differ from its predecessor.
The leaked photos reveal that the Mi 6X will launch in two color options – gold color variant with white front bezel and a black color variant with black front bezel. The leaked hands-on video shows that Mi 6X will not be much different from the Redmi Note 5 Pro in terms of appearance.
It will also sport the same vertically stacked dual-camera system at the rear and centrally mounted rear fingerprint sensor. The front will be home to same 5.99-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has also been listed on Android.com which sheds more light on the design and specifications of the smartphone. The listing shows it will come with 4GB of RAM and option for either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The Mi 6X, like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, is also expected to arrive in a 6GB RAM, 64GB storage option.
One of the biggest improvements over last year’s Mi 5X is expected to be in design and camera department. It is expected to pack a 2,910mAh battery and could be powered by either Snapdragon 660 SoC or the low-power Snapdragon 626 SoC.
