Ahead of the official launch of the Mi 6X, Xiaomi has now released a new promotional video of the anticipated smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi 6X will be launched in China on April 25. It was only yesterday that the company released official images of the smartphone, revealing all the color options it will be available in. The video is available on YouTube via a third-party source. It is not possible to ascertain the authenticity of the video or the source, however, given that it falls in line with the previously released images of the Mi 6X, it is safe to believe it. The short 18-second clip details the Mi 6X in all its colors and shows off the dual-camera setup at the back. The Mi 6X will be available in color choices of Cherry Powder, Red Flame, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue and Black Stone. Xiaomi has previously confirmed certain other features of the Mi 6X. This includes the presence of a dual-camera and one of the camera sensors on the phone being 20-megapixel. If we go by previous reports, the Mi 6X will be equipped with an 18:9 display. It is speculated to feature a 5.99-inch LCD display offering full HD+ resolution.
Under the hood, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 2GHz will be paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. It is expected to arrive in three models 4GB RAM+32GB storage, 6GB RAM+ 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM+128GB storage. Some reports indicate it could be powered by Snapdragon 626 SoC, while others speculate it to run Helio P60. It remains to be seen which processor it comes equipped with when it is officially launched.
With cameras being one of its talking points, the Mi 6X is expected to pack a combination of 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors at the back. Up front, there will be a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor. In line with the current industry trend, the camera is likely to boast AI-enabled features for enhanced photos. On the software front, we can expect it to run Android Oreo with the latest MIUI 9 running atop. The Mi 6X is expected to be launched with the Mi A2 moniker in markets outside of China. In other markets, it is expected to continue being part of the Android One program, and run stock Android out-of-the-box.
