Xiaomi will be officially announcing the Mi 6X on April 25. Ahead of the launch, the company has been teasing the smartphone through its Weibo account. After teasing the Mi 6X through official images and promotional video, today the company has released selfies captured from the smartphone’s 20-megapixel front camera.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is said to be equipped with an advanced camera setup. It is expected to feature a dual-camera setup at the back which will include a combination of a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture. Up front, there will be a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor. In line with the current industry trend, the camera is said to boast AI-enabled features for enhanced photos. The camera is also said to be capable of recording videos in 4K.
The self-portraits captured from the Mi 6X show off the portrait blur. The images do appear outstanding, but they look too professional for a smartphone camera. While the authenticity of the images can’t be questioned as they come from an official source, the output quality remains to be seen in real-life circumstances.
