Last month, a leaked poster revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will launch on May 23 in China. After closer examination of the poster, some concluded it to be fake. However, tipsters from China are now speculating that the Mi 6 successor may indeed debut by the end of this month, and we could very well see the smartphone launch on May 23. While the official date is not revealed yet, we can soon expect Xiaomi to start teasing the smartphone on social media.
The Mi 7 is considered to be one of the important smartphones for Xiaomi, and it was expected to be announced in the first quarter of 2018. However, Xiaomi went ahead to unveil the Mi MIX 2s. Now, a leakster on Weibo with account @Kumamoto Technology has tipped that the Mi 7 launch event will take place in Shenzhen. He also revealed that Xiaomi will unveil the Mi Band 3 along with the smartphone, GizmoChina reports.
From what we know so far, the Mi 7 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC. It is expected to feature a 5.65-inch full screen display with a notch on top. There are also rumors that Xiaomi may announce the Mi 7 Plus as well, with a slightly larger 6.01-inch OLED display. Previous rumors also hinted that the Mi 7 will boast advanced features such as 3D facial recognition like the iPhone X, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and will come with support for wireless charging feature. With 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, the Mi 7 is expected to come with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB onboard storage options.

Xiaomi also recently teased the Mi Band 3 on social media, offering a glimpse at the design. Unlike the Mi Band 2 and Mi band HRX Edition, the Mi Band 3 will not feature a physical button to toggle modes, instead, it is rumored to feature a touchscreen display, with gesture control support.
Based on the leak, sliding up and down on the screen, will allow users to switch between notifications. Similarly, tapping on the screen will allow users to switch between different options through infinite loop – to see step count, sleep tracking, heart rate monitor and more.
